Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the famous Peanut Butter Bon Bons. Within moments of consuming one of these sweet babies, you will simultaneously love and hate me for introducing you to the most amazing Christmas treat on Planet Earth.
I’m not joking. They are amazing. We have made these every Christmas for as long as I can remember.
Here’s what you need:
Two sticks of butter
Two cups of peanut butter
1 pound of powdered sugar
3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
Chocolate or vanilla almond bark. (We also use butterscotch chips sometimes.)
(P.S. These are not good for you)
In a large bowl, mix the powdered sugar and Rice Krispies.
Melt the butter and peanut butter together.
Pour the butter/peanut butter mixture into the bowl with the powdered sugar and Rice Krispies.
Here is the fun and messy part – mix it all together with a spoon to blend it and the. Really mix it up well with your hands.
Roll the mixture into small balls, a little smaller than a golf ball. You’ll make about 100 and place them in another bowl.
Refrigerate for an hour or so, then dip in melted almond bark.
Add sprinkles if you’re feeling exceptionally festive.
You are welcome.
